CAG SAS notes — in preparation
Notes for the Subordinate Accounts Service examination under the Comptroller & Auditor General are being written. Most CGA AAO (Civil) notes cover the same rules and manuals — start there meanwhile.
How to use the library
Read the rule, then prove you know it
The notes and the test series are built off the same syllabus map, so a topic you read has a matching set of questions waiting under the same name.
Pick your exam, then the paper
Every note is filed against a notified syllabus line, not a loose subject name. Choose the exam and the paper and the shelf narrows to exactly what that paper asks.
Read the note, not the PDF
Notes open as web pages — searchable, linkable and readable on a phone. Each one summarises the rule, code or manual with the governing provision named.
Check what is still pending
Open Syllabus coverage for a topic-by-topic map: a tick where notes exist, a hollow mark where they are still being written. No guessing what is missing.
Then attempt the tests
Read a topic, attempt its Previous Year Questions to see how it is asked, then the Chapter-wise series for the provisions not yet asked.
Mapped to the syllabus
Every note is tagged to the exact paper and syllabus topic it answers — and to each exam separately.
Interactive, not PDFs
Notes open as web pages: searchable, linkable, and readable on a phone during a commute.
Pairs with the tests
Read a topic, then attempt its PYQ or chapter-wise test in the test series for the same provision.
Updated with amendments
Notes follow the current edition of each rule, code and manual, and are corrected as amendments issue.
About this library
The rulebook, arranged the way the exam asks it
Departmental promotion exams are decided on a fixed shelf of documents — the CCS Rules, the General Financial Rules, the Delegation of Financial Powers Rules, the Government Accounting Rules, the CPWD manuals, the procurement manuals and the internal audit manuals. This library holds interactive notes for each of them, tagged to the paper and syllabus topic where it is actually examined.
Notes are mapped paper-wise to UPSC SO/Steno LDCE, CGA AAO (Civil) CBT, UPSC Principal/Vice-Principal LDCE, SSC ASO LDCE and KVS LDE/LDCE. Because the same rule is prescribed for more than one exam, a single note appears under each of them against that exam's own syllabus line. For KVS the syllabus changes with the post applied for, so a Post filter drives everything below it.
Every card carries its paper and its syllabus topic on the face of it, so the shelf reads in the notified order. Use the search box for a specific rule or manual, and open Syllabus on any exam for the notified topic list, paper by paper.
Once a topic is read, test it: the test series is built off the same syllabus map, so every topic here has a matching set of previous year questions and chapter-wise drills filed under the same name. Each exam also has its own exam guide covering the notification, pattern and marking scheme — linked from the exam header above.
